and you would have found me on the highway, near the bridge at the base of Specimen staring in my scope at a small section of chain link fence surrounding the Crystal Creek enclosure. Every so often something would move past that space and make me smile.
Rick, then a seasonal Ranger (guess he still is) stopped by to visit. Asked me what I was watching and I told him. "How'd you find it" he asked. "Watched the birds" I said. He told me that it was the only spot that you could see the pen from the road. Further he commented.... "Not much to see from here" I said "just knowing that they're here is good enough for now"
A great trip, thanks to Camille for reminding me of that first one of many to see those magnificent animals
